This is a rare and spectacular species from southern Borneo which produces very tough and long-lasting woody pitchers. Although we released a home-produced Nepenthes boschiana earlier under BE- 3361, that was a cross between the slightly different Gng. Besar and Gng. Sakumpang forms. This item is a cross between two plants from the same location – Gng. Sakumpang. For purists and conservation-minded people alike, this is an important step towards preserving the integrity of the form of the species from Gng. Sakumpang in ex-situ conservation.
History: First introduced in Dec 2012.
Climate: 'Highland'. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will certainly tolerate temperatures well outside this range.
