This gorgeous species is endemic to the Barisan Range in Sumatra. The lower pitchers are robust with beautifully coloured flared peristomes. The upper pitchers are infundibular and have colourful striping on their peristomes. A written description can hardly do it justice, please see the videos!
History: Introduced in 2006 under BE-3133 as a random selection from 24 clones out of microprop. This particular item was introduced in April 2018 as the best-selected clone from BE-3133.
Climate: 'Highland'. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will certainly tolerate temperatures well outside this range.
