Endemic to Palawan Island, Philippines, this is reputed to be one of the largest of all Nepenthes species and has been recorded to capture and consume rodents. We’re finding the individual clones under this item to be quite variable in both form and coloration and the photos have been chosen to try to illustrate a few of the variations we’ve seen so far. History: First introduced in Jan 2015.
Climate: 'Highland'. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will certainly tolerate temperatures well outside this range.
