As with all primary hybrids involving Nepenthes ampullaria, that species’ form is dominant, showing its characteristic pot-like pitcher shape. However, the pitchers are far larger than Nepenthes ampullaria ever achieves and have a tough waxy texture, making them long-lasting which is of course the influence of the female parent, Nepenthes sibuyanensis. This particular clone was selected out of many for it's colouration. As you can see, the pitchers are attractively speckled and it has a lime-green peristome that gradually develops a superb two-tone orange/green hue, if there is sufficient light. Added to that delightful characteristic, is the fact that being a highland-lowland cross it's remarkably temperature tolerant and therefore easy to grow. This is a lovely addition to any collection and benefits from being regularly pruned back to encourage growth of clusters of lower pitchers. History: First introduced in May 2023.
Climate: 'Intermediate', which means it will flourish in a wide range of temperatures. We have tested it from 12 - 32 deg. C (54 - 90 deg. F), although it will tolerate temperatures outside this range.
